Corona virus update

OUR TELEHEALTH SERVICES

If you are “sheltering at home,” and therefore not initiating or completing your physical therapy visits in person, we can help you with a two-way telehealth visit so that we can evaluate you visually and help you with exercises.  Together we can work on how you function in the environment in which you live and work (we also often get to see those precious animals that you mention so much in the clinic).  We use DOXYME, a secure  HIPAA compliant  program that allows your therapist to evaluate you visually.  It allows your therapist to see you doing your exercises or functional movement.  You can also watch yourself for visual feedback, much like a mirror. Your therapist can check for accuracy, give you feedback and progress you as you improve.

This is all in real time. We simply send you a link on your email, you click on it, and it brings you to us!  You do have to have a computer with a camera at the top of the screen, or you can use your smart phone or tablet, placed in a location where you can perform your exercises. We cannot do hands on therapy, it’s true, but this is the next best thing.  So far, patients have liked it. But do phone first so that we can set up a time.  (Phone 918-744-1331)

Physical therapy by way of a Telehealth Physical Therapy is now a covered service by many insurance providers, including:  Medicare, Health Choice, Blue Cross Blue Shield companies, Aetna, and other insurance companies.  Please check with us or your company.  We also allow self-pay if you so desire.

INFECTION CONTROL MEASURES WE ARE TAKING
Who should come to our clinic for treatment:
     a. Patients who have no known exposure to the novel corona COVID-19 virus
     b. Patients who do not have a fever above 100 degrees F when taken on arrival in our clinic using a no-touch thermometer.
     c. Patients who are not experiencing a dry cough, shortness of breath or body aches
    d. Patients who have no known  immune system weakness, reduced pulmonary function, diabetes,  severe heart disease. If such a condition exists, please consult your physician before coming.  We take extra precautions in such cases to avoid close contact.
    e. The CDC has not stated that we cannot see a patient over the age of 60 for a visit (physical therapy is listed by Department of Homeland Security as essential caregivers).  We believe that if a patient over the age of 60 needs to be seen it is our duty to be available for them.  If you are in pain and in need of help, we assure you that we are doing what we can to keep our facilities clean, our patients at a distance from each other.  We will keep our patients in separate rooms during treatment.  However, we do urge you to use our telehealth services if at all possible

OUR IN-CLINIC INFECTION CONTROL MEASURES:
    a. Hand Washing
        1. We are medically trained in correct hand washing techniques AND WE USE THEM BETWEEN PATIENTS
